Terms and Conditions for Online Sales
PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER FROM THE STONEHOUSE EMPORIUM AND RETAIN A COPY OF THEM AND YOUR ORDER FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. BY CONTINUING WITH A PURCHASE IT IS DEEMED THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Terms
The terms of sale set out here apply to goods supplied by The Stonehouse Emporium, Whitby, ordered from the The Stonehouse Emporium website at www.thestonehouse.co.uk. By continuing with a purchase it is deemed that you have read, understood and agree to these terms and conditions.
You must be 16 years of age or older to order from the website and by accepting these terms and conditions you are confirming this.
The Stonehouse Emporium reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions without notice to you in relation to future sales.
These terms do not create any rights to any parties other than the purchaser.
Orders and Prices
The Stonehouse Emporium uses PayPal and Stripe as their online purchasing systems.
The Stonehouse Emporium accepts payment by any of the credit cards shown as acceptable on the website at time of purchase.
All prices are shown in UK pounds sterling and delivery charges will be added to your invoice. These charges will be added on confirmation of your address and payment details and prior to the order being placed during the payment process.
The description and price of goods will be as shown on the website at the time you place your order. Every effort will be made to ensure that prices shown on the website are accurate at the time of purchase. If an error is discovered prior to despatch of your order, The Stonehouse Emporium will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order.
When ordering online your order will be sent to The Stonehouse Emporium through PayPal and/or Stripe by email. You will also receive an email receipt to confirm The Stonehouse Emporium has received your order. Should you not receive an email please contact the us on 07717407567

All goods are subject to availability. If on receipt of your order the goods are out of stock, The Stonehouse Emporium will inform you and refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you for the unavailable goods.
Delivery
All delivery times quoted on the The Stonehouse Emporium website are estimates based on availability, normal processing and delivery times. The Stonehouse Emporium may deliver items from the same order separately but will charge for postage and packing as per the original order.
Goods ordered will be delivered to the address given when the order was placed, subject to receipt of an order confirmation email, unless otherwise arranged with us at the time of your order.
We endeavour to deliver your items within 7 days of receiving your payment unless otherwise stated on the website, or advised by email from us at time of purchase.
Delivery to you will be considered to have occurred once the item is placed with Royal Mail, or any other service we may use. If there is no one available at the delivery address to accept delivery of couriered goods, you will be notified of an alternative delivery date or place to collect the goods. The Stonehouse Emporium cannot accept responsibility for large goods that are returned to the post office and remain uncollected. A signature will be required on delivery for couriered and special delivery purchases. Receipt of a signature at the delivery address for any order will act as proof that the order has been delivered to you.
The Stonehouse Emporium is not liable for any damage which occurs to an order after a delivery has been made.
Collection of large items must occur within six weeks of the order being placed, as we do not have the facilities for storage. After six weeks, storage charges will accrue on a weekly basis (please contact us for prices)
Payment Security
The Stonehouse Emporium uses PayPal and Stripe for online payments. PayPal allows us to safely process your payments and complete the financial transactions as securely as possible. For further information regarding PayPal’s secure systems please visit their website
We do not collect or store credit card details – we use Stripe to process credit card payments and their privacy policy can be viewed here.
The Stonehouse Emporium is not liable for any unauthorised access to information supplied by you.
