Unbelievably fabulous breakfast cup and saucer, with bright orange glaze to inside and crazy faux wood pattern to the outside and saucer!
This father and son team of post-WWII regional artists created their hand-painted pottery in the famed town of Vallauris, the same area where Braque and Pablo Picasso produced their own painted ceramics. Grandjean-Jourdan forms drew inspiration from nature, then added their own twist.
The wood grain painted glaze also has a surreal effect.
Excellent condition,- no crazing to the glaze and rare as rocking horse poo!
Saucer 17cm diameter.
Cup across handle 16cm
Cup across top 13cm
We are also listing another one with a bright yellow glazed inside.
