Description

A real one off!
This amazing pub sign is from the Grade II Listed Bunch of Grapes (as was) at Scaling Dam in North Yorkshire.
It is a haunted early 19th Century former coaching inn and staging post on the North York Moors at Scaling Dam.
Recently refurbished, they decided to change the name of the pub, and we bought this amazing handmade sign.
Hand carved in two pieces from Oak, with a lead collar in the shape of leaves at the top (see photos, part of the lead is missing)
It has been painted white for some reason, and would need stripping, or repainting.
The grapes are 41 cm tall and it is 54cm in circumference,
The blacksmith forged wrought iron frame is 100cm tall, and in excellent condition.
Would look amazing outside a winebar/or as a fabulous piece of interior decoration.
An absolute talking point.
The quality is fantastic, and the workmanship amazing.
A real piece of Yorkshire history!
