Looks like it has just stepped off the set of Double Indemnity!
This rare Art Deco chrome desk light and writing set was made to be presented to Mr.CHirst. As A Mark Of Esteem On His Promotion As Assistant Superintendent At Blackburn July 1937.
By His Colleagues Of Halifax B.Div Refuge Assurance Coy.
Standing 24” tall and the base is 73/4” x 6”.
The globe shade is in perfect condition and is 8” in diameter.
There is 3 meters of original cable which we suggest should be changed though the lamp works well.
The press switch on the base is not working, but the switch on the chrome pedestal is.
The glass inkwells are in very good condition no chips or cracks.
The chrome is in very good condition all over as this was obviously a treasured possession
